VALPARAISO – From October 21 to October 30, jewelers from all over the world are gathering to create a collection of jewelry in Valparaíso. The workshop “BrainChile” is inspired by a similar workshop held in Barcelona, called “Braincelona”.

The three professions that created Barcelona, Carles Codina, Ricardo Domingo and Valerie Nobili decided to export the idea and make the fourth version in Valparaiso, after the unprecedented success of the playful way to deliver knowledge and training in produce jewelry. So they made contact with the School of Jewelery of Pamela de la Fuente from Santiago and together, they designed this new version of Braincelona, assembling a plan with intense classes, but also many city tours and cultural activities.

The workshops, Braincelona as also Brainchile aim to build a platform for new talented jewelers as well as an incubator for businesses related to the sector of fashion and jewelry through specialized training in jewelry and fashion as global business.

30 people from Santiago, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina and Ecuador are taking part in the workshop. Adapted to the location Valparaíso, the motto of Brainchile is “Buscando tu Paraiso”. The ultimate goal of the proposal is to create jewelry or objects close the presentation and justification of it, in reference to the city of Valparaiso as artistic and cultural heritage and diversity. In this sense it presents a theoretical and practical proposal, which will provide a series of theoretical knowledge, while building a piece or a new collection, enjoying the city and living in it.

After 10 intense days of work, this workshop ends with a sample of the proposals and a lecture by teachers and managers of Braincelona Carles Codina and Ricardo Domingo to be held on Wednesday, October 30 at 7 p.m. in the reading room of the Cultural Park of Valparaíso.
